Precious Agatha was born into poverty in one of the sprawling slums on the outskirts of Nairobi City, in Ken-ya. Her parents can barely afford to give her the life that she deserves
Living Conditions: Agatha’s family lives in a cramped one-room shanty made of corrugated metal and iron-sheets. The slum is overcrowded, with narrow alleys filled with garbage and open drains. Basic amenities like clean water and sanitation are scarce, and electricity is often stolen through makeshift connections.
Education: Despite her circumstances, Agatha attends a non government-run school located near the slum. This is because Government run schools classrooms are overcrowded, there’s a shortage of teachers, and re-sources like books and stationery are limited. Agatha dreams of becoming a doctor one day
Challenges: Her Parents are currently not employed and they depend on odd jobs in order to provide for the family and Agathas siblings
Precious Agatha represents the millions of children growing up in similar conditions worldwide, where pov-erty and hardship overshadow their potential but where hope and determination continue to drive them for-ward.
